The short version

We do not ask for your name, your email or an account, and your quiz answers never leave your browser. The advertising and analytics services we use do set cookies, and you can turn those off. That is the whole policy; the rest is detail.

Your quiz answers

Every test on this site is scored by JavaScript running on your own device. Your answers are not transmitted to us, not written to a database, and not retained anywhere after you close the page. When a test finishes, your browser simply navigates to the page for your result. That result page is a normal public URL — if you share it, you are sharing the result, not your answers.

What we store on your device

Nothing. This site sets no cookies of its own and writes nothing to local storage.

What our host records

Like every website, ours sits behind a hosting provider that keeps standard server logs: the requested page, the time, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and the referring page. These are kept briefly for security and troubleshooting and are not used to build a profile of you.

Advertising

This site is funded by advertising served by Google, including Google AdSense.

If analytics is enabled on this site, it is Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure how many people visit which pages. We look at totals — page views, which tests get finished, which country traffic comes from. We do not use it to identify individuals. IP anonymisation is on.

Where consent is required for advertising and analytics cookies, you will be shown a consent notice before those cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time through that notice. Our lawful basis for the limited server logging described above is legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure.

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and to complain to your national data protection authority. Because we hold no accounts and no contact details, in practice there is usually nothing for us to retrieve — but write to hello@typicallyyou.com and we will tell you exactly what, if anything, exists.

If you are in California

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA and CPRA, and we do not collect the categories of information that would make a sale possible. You may still exercise your rights under those laws by writing to hello@typicallyyou.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, write to hello@typicallyyou.com and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revised policy.
